The Fly Method - why is Fly different from traditional gyms?

For one thing, we aren’t just a gym. You’ll feel the positive energy that greets you when you walk in the front doors, and leave with the strength and confidence after you’ve finished your first class.

Our cycling classes are different than any others you’ve tried. Cycle classes are full-body workouts where you’ll work your arms, legs and core. We ride to the rhythm, feeling the beat and using inspiring playlists curated by our instructors. Our HIIT classes use intervals and cardio combined with weight training with props to make your workout fun yet challenging. Our barre classes  are unique because you’ll get the length and toning while feeling that burn you’re looking for and you’ll feel energized too.  We also offer a variety of yoga classes, from candlelight to power, sculpt & gentle flow classes.  So come try them all and see what you love the most.

Have fun. Be free to dance on your bike or in your circuit class with your posse. Get used to having fun while working out. Fly is your new happy hour!

Is Fly for beginners?

Fly workouts are for everyone. They are perfect for all levels and our instructors ensure you have modifications and all workouts can be adapted to any fitness level.  We encourage beginners to start slowly.  Kids are welcome from 13 years of age or older as long as they are accompanied by an adult.  You must be 18 to attend class on your own.

If you’re new, remember there are always new people in class!  Our highly trained staff are here to answer questions.  Come, have fun, pace yourself and enjoy your first time!

What should I expect on my first visit to Fly?

Prior to your first class, make sure you hydrate. Check in 15 minutes prior to class to get set up and ready. We recommend that you sign up online or book ahead by downloading the MindBody App on your phone.

Arrive at least 15 minutes early. For all classes, a Fly expert will be there to assist you in finding the studio and getting set up for class. Please note: entrance to class is not allowed if you are more than 5 minutes late for the safety of all our participants.

Sign in sheet. Make sure you sign in at the front desk and initial by your name. If you are not signed in 3 minutes prior to class, your spot may be released to another person on the waitlist.

Sign the Waiver. If you are a new Flyer,  you will need to fill out the waiver online or print out & download the waiver here and bring it with you when you arrive to the studio. You can review any other safety instructions when you arrive. If you are under 18 your parent/guardian must sign the waiver and all participants must be at least 13 years old.

Cycling classes. If you are coming to your first cycling class you must wear cycling shoes. Fly offers cycling shoe rental for $2.00.

Barre & yoga classes. If you are coming to your first barre or yoga class you are required to wear sticky socks in the barre studio.  If you do not own them, we offer them for purchase in the studio.

Do I need to bring shoes, water, and mat?

Cycling: For your first Fly cycling class, we offer complimentary shoes.  If you prefer to bring your own shoes, our pedals are compatible with SPD cleats. Shoe rental is $2.00 after your first free ride. Fly Monthly & Fly Yearly memberships receive complimentary cycling shoes.

Barre & Yoga: If you are coming to your first barre or yoga clas,s you must wear sticky socks for your own safety and for the safety of others. If you do not own them, we offer socks for purchase in the Fly boutique.

For all of our classes, we provide complimentary towels and in-studio barre & yoga mats.  We sell Smartwater in case you forget to bring your own.

What should I wear to class?

We recommend that you wear form-fitting tops and bottoms that stay out of the way during class. Athletic clothing is required for all Fly classes. For footwear, Fly cycling shoes are provided on a complimentary basis for your first cycling class (cycling shoes are required). After your first class, you may rent cycling shoes for $2.00. For HIIT & burn classes, sneakers are required. For barre & yoga classes, we require sticky socks and sell them in the studio. Shoes are not allowed in the barre/yoga studio.

How do I sign up for class?

We strongly suggest scheduling your class in advance to ensure a spot. Find our schedule here and follow the instructions for creating an account to reserve your classes. Every Fly client will need to have an account before registering for their first class. You can download the MindBody app and reserve a spot on your phone or computer yourself or you can also call the Fly Lincoln front desk team at 402.477.5359 or the Fly Fargo front desk team at 701.532.1368 and have them assist you to create an account to reserve a class.

Can I reserve a specific bike before class?

Yes. At Fly, we honor requests to hold a specific bike. To do so, make your class reservation first here, and then follow the reservation link in your confirmation email. Bikes otherwise be automatically assigned at random.

What time should I arrive for class?

Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to class time. If you are running late, please call the studio to let us know so we can hold your spot. If there is a waitlist for the class, you must be there 3 minutes prior to class in order to hold your spot or it will be given away to those on the waitlist.

Classes start promptly. For your safety and that of other participants, we do not allow late entrance to classes.

Do you have locker rooms?

The Fly studio has men’s and women’s shower facilities as well as changing areas. There is a ready area outfitted with storage cubbies, towels, hair dryers, and a variety of personal care amenities for client use.

What is your cancellation policy?

You must cancel (or unreserve) your spot in a Fly class prior to 12 hours before the class or you will be charged for the class. Late cancels and no-shows will be charged $15.00. No exceptions. You can cancel your class by accessing your account online or by calling your Fly studio.

If you choose to be added to a class waitlist and no longer wish to be part of the class, you must remove yourself from the waitlist at least 12 hours in advance of the start of class or before your class reservation is granted.

Is there a waitlist for full classes?

Yes. If a Fly class is full, you have the option to be added to our waitlist by selecting the “Add to waitlist” option. MindBody will notify you by email and/or text if a spot becomes available in the class for which you are waitlisted. You will be asked to confirm or deny your spot in class. To check your waitlist status, log into MindBody, go to My Info, click My Schedule.  If you got into the class it will say “Waitlist Unconfirmed.”

When can I reserve a class?

You can reserve classes within the 7-day booking period or by calling the front desk during our regular business hours or leaving a voicemail.

How do Pilates reformer sessions work?

Training on the Pilates Reformer is available at our SOLNK studio in Lincoln, Nebraska and can be done in private sessions, with two people or in classes with three people.  You may purchase sessions online, and all sessions are performed on the allegro flyformer, our full-body resistance machine in our dedicated Pilates studio. They are perfect for anyone with either scheduling constraints, a need for privacy, or specific goals (including pre- and post-natal needs, or special injury programming). Reformer sessions and classes are 50 minutes long.

Do you offer studio memberships?

Absolutely!  All Fly members enjoy luxe in-studio member perks including unlimited classes, laundry service, complimentary shoe rental and 10% retail discounts.

Does Fly have retail?

Yes. Fly has it’s own fitness line including retail options from tanks to sweatshirts and hats. We also carry high-end brands including lululemon, Onzie, Splits59, Free People and more.  Clients with memberships receive a 10% discount on all boutique purchases.
