Sweetness from sugar is a powerful taste sensation. Recent research teaches us that sugar is as powerfully addictive as it is delicious. You’re not alone in fighting sugar cravings—the World Health Organization recommends a daily sugar intake of roughly 50 grams. Americans, on average, consume over 125 grams of sugar per day. That’s right, we are outpacing the rest of the world through our sweet love affair with sugar. To kick your sugar habit and begin a sugar detox, start with these steps:
No longer do we need to be the global heavy weight champs in sugar consumption. Be fearless and faithful in your quest to eliminate sugar. As summer approaches… hydration, cool sweet treats, and the urge to indulge abound. Remember your fly food philosophy, not all calories are created equally. Fix your focus on fresh and frozen fruits, stay dedicated to H20, be savvy in the war zone (your local grocery store), and say a sweet “sayonara” to white refined sugar for good.
